I bought these pants for Winter hiking and Snowshoeing in Michigans Upper Peninsula . After getting them and trying them out I will probably use them for Bow Season this year. They are comfortable, well built and quiet. They must have been designed by someone who actually uses them. The pockets are in the right place and the right size, and the zippers are sturdy and quiet. I like that they fit well enough to wear alone or with a base layer depending on the temp. And the zippered openings to cool off are great. I ordered my normal size and they fit great. They are worth the cost. I also want to say I bought mine during the last big snow storm of the year and FedEx had issues delivering my order. I paid for 2 day and when they didn't come my shipping fees were refunded and customer service was right there to answer questions and offer to replace my order if it didn't arrive. I will definitely be looking at the rest of the catalog and ordering more gear.
I had to buy a size larger than I normally wear. My normal pant size was a little tight in the thighs for me, especially if I wanted to wear a base layer underneath. the pant is very well made and durable. Will work great in colder weather and definitely considered a cold weather pant. If you do any amount of hard walking in them, you will appreciate the vent zips on them. Although, I would think this is more of a stationary or short walk pant and not a trekking type of pant. The fit is pretty flexible and has an athletic cut, which is why I needed to bump up in size. If you need a heavyweight pant to keep you warm and dry, this is it. Easy to tell it is well made and worth the money.
Very well made, high quality pant..
I live in Montana and am a snow-boarder and a new back county split-boarder - always cold. Many in my family are hunters and have used the Pnuma products for years chasing elk in 20 below weather. When I was looking for new gear, my son-in-law says "Try Pnuma". So, I did - bought the Waypoint pant at just a bit bigger waste (inch or so) than my normal size. I now use one base layer (synthetic longies) and the "Waypoint" pant and have been warm every since. Cannot believe how comfortable I am - more comfortable and warmer than any ski pant I have ever worn - and at much lower prices than the high end ski gear. I bought the solid color so I didn't look like a "hunter on the slopes" and I am good to go. Next purchase is a jacket ... These products are solid winter gear for ski hill and especially back country skiing. Plus, us snow-boarders are often on our knees and that extra layer and pads on the knees are a huge perk - the zip openings allow for ventilation for those up hill treks. Happy, and warm today ... thanks. If you're not in a hurry watch the outlet store for additional savings.
Everything i expected from Pnuma!
Great fit and quality,I ordered the coat just recently, same goes for it...you can wear just a medium base layer and be very comfortable on a cold day..over dress and you will sweat..Great clothing
I've been looking at pants/bibs that are windproof for late season hunting in PA. I came across these on the outlet and decided to give them a try. I have an elk trip planned next year, so they should also work well for that. Anyway, they are quiet, comfortable, warm with proper layering, windproof, durable and not bulky. I wore them for the first time this past weekend coyote hunting in ~20* weather and they were perfect. Warm sitting, not heavy, bulky, or noisy moving to the next stand, along with having the crotch vents to keep from getting over heated. The Waypoint jacket and pants in camo will be on my radar for next year as I am very impressed with these pants.
