We’ve been working on Palisade for some time now. This puffy jacket was a direct request from our Recon team and many of our fans, so we knew we had to make sure it lived up to their expectations. From frigid mornings in a blind to glassing sessions above treeline in the west, the Palisade Puffy is a must-add for your cold-weather kit. We engineered this puffy to be warm, packable, and able to stand up to the elements no matter where you hunt. The stuff sack makes it easy to pack away when you don’t need the extra insulation.
- YKK sealed Aquaguard™ zippers on pockets
- Fitted hood for max protection
- PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Down Blend - 90/10 750fp
- Water repellent & quick drying
- Stays warm & dry longer than regular down
Good quality and fit. I had gotten the 3XL though I usually use a 2XL and have room. I’m glad I did cause this jacket leaves a little more room for layering if needed. And a 2XL may have been tight. Good buy for the money.
Very nice jacket, but at this time in Texas is has been too warm to try it out. Bought is to take on a fishing trip to BC, but the weather there was unseasonably warm there and was not needed there. Love the fit and I feel certain, this will become the travel jacket for my future hunting and fishing trips. I can tell you I purchased Merino wool 1/4 zip shirt, and it is awesome. I wore it every day in BC on our fishing trip.
Great jacket very warm. Is a little bit heavier than the down jackets I have seen, but then it is a lot tougher and just as warm.
Love this jacket, ended up getting solid one too. One for hunting and other for casual wearing. For me size was right where I like it. I usually wear XL and got same. For some if want heavier clothes underneath should size up one. I like it to wear over base layers, gunnison hoodie and then put my waypoint jacket over all. That’s for really cold weather. I’m bow Hunter and like the waypoint on top mainly because it’s quieter. Palisade is little noisy but not bad. I’ve owned few puffy coats and this by far is my favorite. Many pockets and their deep. All of Pnuma gear I have purchased has been top notch. For me if had any suggestion would make it where hood was detachable like waypoint. Other than that it’s perfect. I’ve seen where was complaint about cuffs being too tight, are snug but I like that. Helps keep any wind blowing up your arms and holds body heat in better. Preference I guess. I have no regrets on purchasing, that’s why ordered second one. I’m Pnuma fan for life.
Have been wanting quality hunting/ outdoor clothing for years, but being 6’6” with a 6’10” wingspan there hasn’t been anything even remotely close that would fit in the sleeves. All high end brands even in there “Tall” sizes would leave a few inches or more of wrist showing.
Fit is spot on and the quality is remarkable. Only flaw is the design of the hood. It’s rather big and comes over my eyes unless I’m wearing a hat. Not a big deal, but something that should be looked into.
I really like this jacket. It's warm, it fits good, pocket layout is good, etc... The only thing I dislike about it is the hood. It's big and bulky and sits weird on top of my head. I almost need a hat on to keep the hood from falling over my eyes. I also don't care for hood much unless in the rain or snow, so it would be nice if it was removable.
I was also pretty impressed with it's packability. It isn't a light weight, pack into it's own pocket jacket, but for it's weight it does still pack down pretty well.
